2 great wireless hotspots in LIC
Sunday, July 1, 2007 at 08:20AM You're probably wondering what I'm doing in a cafe so early on a Sunday morning.
Having guests at home at the moment, I needed a place to focus before boarding on my flight to Rio in a few hours...
So here am I at this place which opened last week (I found out about Bricktown Bagel Cafe after a chat with Lounge 47's owner and seeing the cutie from my yoga class getting in there the past week-end ;))
Anyway, I pasted below an excerpt from an article I posted on TechAgnostic earlier this morning:
Bricktown Bagel Cafe, LIC on Vernon Blvd (11101)
If you happen to get lost in LIC or spend the night there after a wild night at PS1 summer party followed by the after-party at the water-taxi (fake) Beach, stop by the Bricktown Bagel Cafe south of Vernon Blvd. Treat yourself with a freshly-made bagel which the staff will generously spread with cream cheese or anything else of your choice.
The brand new sofa chairs are so comfy that it inspired me to write this post - I’m currently in one of them - even though I’m supposed to get ready for my flight to Rio…
Again, the outlets are strategically placed.
It is Sunday morning and since 7am it has been a catwalk of cops (mostly in uniforms) from the next-door preccinct, parents, long-time residents and casual tennis players walking-in and out. Let’s see how the crowd profile as the area becomes more and more popular…
Instead of an iPod selection, your ears might have to listen to a random radio and its commercials. Fortunately, the volume is low enough that it should not take you away from your important online activities.
